SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – April 27, 2017 – Boart Longyear is scheduled to demonstrate sonic drilling in geotechnical applications using an LS™250 MiniSonic™ with 4X6 tooling and an SPT hammer. In partnership with the Buckeye Chapter of the National Drilling Association, Boart Longyear will conduct the demonstration at the Indoor/Outdoor Training Expo II at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Newcomerstown, Ohio.

Subject-matter expert Fred Hafner will be available to answer questions about the benefits of using sonic drilling in geotechnical drilling applications, including how it is faster, capable of straighter holes with minimal deviation and greatly reduces waste and the risk of project failure due to unknown or difficult subsurface conditions.
