Casing

Heat-Treated Threads
The induction hardening process is applied to the crests of the pin threads resulting in a differential hardness between mating pin and box threads. By implementing this process, galling is virtually eliminated. There is reduced damage from handling, make-up and break-out is easier, and the service life of the casing is extended.

WT Casing/Rod
Engineered to meet the needs for a casing with quicker make-up and easier break-out characteristics, the WT tapered thread reduces stress and provides a stronger, more rigid joint for demanding casing applications or drill rod applications when ordered as 4130 tubing.

Geotechnical and Environmental Applications
Boart Longyear heat-treated casing is particularly suited to geotechnical and environmental drilling projects where frequent recovery of the casing is required.
