Overburden Cased Drilling Systems

Boart Longyear offers four cased drilling systems and accessories designed to meet the requirements of various soil conditions. These are especially successful in heaving formations where open-hole drilling is impossible. Our tooling is designed to accommodate a variety of drilling methods including percussive and rotary.

	Drive Drilling System Ideal for use in soft ground conditions where flushing is not necessary or where flushing can be used without the risk of cavities.		Duplex Drilling System Duplex drilling utilizes an inner drill string and outer casing to control flushing and avoid cavities.
	Double Head Rotary / Rotary This system independently advances an inner drill string and an outer casing to maintain borehole integrity and reach greater depths.		Double Head Rotary / Percussive Utilizes a rotary head to drive the outer casing and a hydraulic drifter to drive the inner drill string.
